...what the hell is going on with me.

Possibly.
Well, either way, this is a much-needed update on my life as a whole, as the art stuff is interrelated with it all.

Basically, my life has changed completely. The past month consisted of an overload of emotional experiences which have... well, changed a lot of things. Mostly how I see myself, how I go about relations with others, and how I see the rest of the world around me. I have a new insight on my role in life and what I really want to do with myself.

I know that last part sounds silly, because it's been obvious for years that my role in this world is to be an artist, but these past events have proved that being an "artist" is much more than just doing "art" (if you know what I mean.)

Freedom, perhaps, is the word for it.
And now I have an idea of how to apply that idea to the rest of what I do, not just my work.




Revelations aside, there's quite a few concrete changes going on right now, that mostly affect the amount of time I have to spend on my own personal projects as well as commissions.

I got my hands on an internship at the most magical place on earth, so I really have to put commissions on hold. This job takes up most of my week, so I have no guarantees of getting shit done. For people who paid and commissioners whose projects we've talked about, I sent you information about this (mostly about my unavailability) and as I said, you may cancel at any time, and if you paid I will refund your money 100%.

The good news is that I WILL have time after my internship is over. There's about a week reprieve between internship and school starting up (well it's also on conjunction with me moving but... we'll see) so I will have some free days to work on stuff. Also, I have weekends off (though I am trying to enjoy what free time I have) so rainy days are dedicated to getting work done. (And believe me, there have been a LOT of rainy days around here.)

Independent personal projects are shot for the most part. Don't expect too much new work from me, as it is just not going to happen... I still have a few bat plushies I want to work on, and you guys (for the most part) haven't even SEEN those, so I'm doing my best to coerce myself to get back into creating them.




Mostly what I HAVE been doing with my remainder of free time is spending time with myself. I'm doing something with my image and concentrating on creating new experiences or new insights for myself, and cherishing them and using them as inspiration for later works of the future. I feel as though I have never spent the time to really sit down and look at myself, and considering the events of the previous month, I think it's a good idea to just examine, experience new things, and grow. I am trying to enjoy whatever I have at this time, and I am being myself. Adventurous and always trying something new.

So, that's about it. Sorry this is such a long read, but I feel every word I've said is necessary and genuine to the situation. And I hope I have changed something in some way, because I feel as though quite a few people in just this past month have changed a lot for me, for the better.

OTHER STUFF

My blogspot just isn't doing it for me.
I'm just not happy with the way the site works, or something. Idk, It just isn't set up in the best way or something.

So I am wondering if anyone has any opinions or examples of neat-o pages from other blog sites? I was looking at Tumblr and Livejournal. Any other suggestions? I want to hear from people who use these places, or know of someone who does. I am finally getting a digital camera so I want to keep a nice photoblog of not just my art, but of other interesting tidbits and experiences that go on in my life, that you never know about, because I never tell you about them with words.

One last thing: Anyone have a LOOKBOOK account? I am interested in joining that site, perhaps, but if no one has one/knows someone who has one/doesn't want to invite me it's all good, no problem, I'll just give a shot at applying.

Oh, and, happy 4th birthday to my dA page; goes right along with the 160k PV mark. I can't believe it's been that long. Thanks so much, everyone. I am, as always, forever grateful.
