ok i dunno what the fuck with titles. i really don't know.

so lately I have been influenced by a great number of artists right here on dA. And I've been itching to do a drawing ever since I got finished creating mute.

this particular experiment came about from studying ~gottschalk's amazing and very surreal linework and creative symmetrical/kaleidoscope imagery. (go check her out. Her drawings are so mesmerizing.)

I am really one of those people who are still enchanted by mirrored images and patterns so I really wanted to try it out for myself... sadly, I couldn't do the mirrored thing just yet, i'm too in love with asymetrical designs (i know, a contradiction. sheesh)

Anyway, I kept up with the complexity of the image, key = design and placement of lines, shapes and darkness/light, so err... just another design comp. I hope i can use something (maybe not this one, i could use some practice) like this drawing in the portfolio. I'm just afraid the college people will deem it "anime" or some shit like that. I really think this drawing style is above and beyond that.

really, now >>; is it anime one bit? will colleges reject me for sure?? meh...

err by the way this is fallow. Kind of reborn deified i guess, though technically he was the forest god before... was fallow not immortal? hmm...

Ah, drawn on graphix matte finish acetate. some shit i made the mistake of buying... but it takes graphite like a charm! I really love drawing on it, I think I'll try more experiments with it.
