EDIT: Added the second page, saving deviations; plus, these pages are juxtaposed so..

...Anyway, see page 2, bottom panel. The skulls came out that way on accident, but I finally got that shiny watercolor effect I wanted even though I initially wished for cel.. so I am.. oh so excited now to do more with this technique x)

Alright I feel absolutely terrible about the lack of decent postage here on dA. I haven't submitted anything like.. of finished, possibly publishing quality since my last comic (cough) . Like everything's either been sketches or me fooling around. Well I am fooling around again (eeh) but this is some serious fooling around, as I am trying to find a cool way to color my new project thawsoNg...

Tried some weird painty style here.. I want some of the comic to be cel shaded as well, like this, but the majority of the bgs are rather dank and gloomy so I hope this is fitting... The character was painted basically the same way but it will vary, cel, traditional, etc, idk, lol.

So this is not page 1, or maybe it is, I don't know. I'm working on it. I kind of like it.

Don't worry. I'll post up the violent pages soon, as I get to them. This is very cute for me.

Just so everyone knows, I put everything under "traditional" category because I seriously work my ass off on the drawing, which is most important. I can easily submit in just b&w, but I want it to be in color, and i don't want to fuck up 60 pages of lineart because I was experimenting.

Really, I need to know what you guys think. More Cel shaded crap or no? Or a mix? I was thinking a mix.

gorgeous. freaking gorgeous. It certainly IS cute and I'm looking forward to different moods in the colouring... but I think this works reaally well.
cell-shaded is cool too, though.
I suppose I don't really have an opinion on this. ^^"

One, I like the layout you did on this particular page. It gives you a sense that he is coming into the town and such. I like the background coloring like you did it right here. It feels very together and sort of has an old storybook-like look to it, and I like how you colored the person because it really looks like he stands in the environment well, yet he doesn't sink in too much... yeah. I think that a mix would be nice.
